Title: Plant Controller

Location: LaPorte, IN

Duration: Full-Time

Compensation: $145,000 – $155,000 *Salary is determined based on various factors including experience, education, and certifications.

Work Requirements: US Citizen, Green Card Holders, or Authorized to Work in the US.


Summary

We are seeking a Plant Controller to provide financial leadership at our large manufacturing facility in LaPorte, IN. This individual will report to the Plant Manager and work closely with the Segment Controller to deliver accurate financial reporting, drive business performance, and provide strategic insights to support operational and financial objectives. The Plant Controller will oversee a team of 7 professionals across Finance, Lot Trace, and Office Services, ensuring compliance, accountability, and alignment with business goals.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as Controller for LaPorte Casting, Transportation Services, and Logistic Services.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of plant P&L results, budgets, forecasts, and variances.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance with policies.
  • Provide data analysis to support decision-making, project evaluation, and performance tracking.
  • Manage and develop a team of ~7 Finance professionals, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and growth.
  • Act as SPA for ASAT objectives, focusing on analysis, revenue management, and performance.
  • Ensure complete, current, and accurate information for government contracts and audit requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate and influence key business projects, plans, and investments.
  • Communicate financial results to plant leadership and segment stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 10+ years of finance experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a large plant setting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship).


Preferred:

  • MBA or Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with large-scale manufacturing operations and revenue scope of $150M+.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle systems.
  • Strong analytical and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to influence, multitask, and drive performance improvements.
