Financial Analyst
Location: Whitehall, MI (Onsite)
Compensation: $75K–$85K base ** Salary determined based on experience, education, and qualifications
Duration: Full-time

Summary
This role supports the Research & Development Operations team and is ideal for a high-energy Financial Analyst who thrives in a manufacturing environment. The position will focus on project and manufacturing accounting, month-end close, and data-driven financial analysis. You’ll work closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to support operational performance, drive financial accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational results across both project and manufacturing accounting systems.
- Own accounting system usage, data integrity, and administrative control.
- Manage month-end close including invoicing, labor reporting, reconciliations, and coordination of entries with other sites.
- Oversee inventory and maintain standard costing updates.
- Support capital appropriations and fixed asset accounting.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Partner with operations to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
- Complete quarterly and annual corporate tax reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements.
Qualifications
Basic:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
Preferred:
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros a plus).
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and database queries (Oracle, Hyperion, or similar).
- Proven experience in cost accounting and inventory management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
