Location: Dover, NJ

Compensation: $75-95k annual *Salary is determined based on various factors including experience, education, certification, etc.

Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Buyer Procurement to join our client’s fast-paced manufacturing plant in Dover, NJ. Reporting to the Procurement Operations Manager, this role is critical in supporting production schedules by driving cost savings, securing supply, and optimizing supplier performance. The Sr. Buyer will manage full lifecycle procurement activities from RFQ through PO placement and vendor management, ensuring compliance with company procedures and alignment to business unit goals.


Responsibilities

  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes, analyze supplier bids, and negotiate price, terms, and lead times to achieve best value.
  • Manage purchase orders for production, operations, and inventory needs; ensure accuracy in pricing, coding, and delivery commitments.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to mitigate risk and drive performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Maintenance, AP, Shipping/Receiving) to resolve supply chain issues.
  • Support onboarding of new suppliers, new item set-ups, and vendor documentation compliance.
  • Track cost savings initiatives, supplier KPIs, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and support audit compliance.
  • Frequently engage with the shop floor to understand plant operations and ensure procurement alignment with production schedules.
  • Deliver proactive, customer-oriented support to business operations.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain.
  • Strong ERP (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIFs, VLOOKUP).
  • U.S. Person status (ITAR compliance).


Preferred:

  • 5+ years of procurement/supply chain experience in a manufacturing plant setting.
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Negotiation track record with measurable savings and supplier performance improvements.
  • Aerospace manufacturing background (plus, not required).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
