Title: Compensation Analyst

Location: Katy, TX- Onsite

Duration: Direct Hire

Summary:

Our client is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support the planning, development, and implementation of compensation programs, job evaluations, and salary structures. This individual will partner with HR and business leaders to ensure compensation practices align with market data, internal equity, and company strategy. This is a hands-on role involving advanced Excel, data mining, and compensation analysis.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze salary data and job roles for market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Conduct job evaluations and document leveling, maintaining accurate job descriptions
  • Administer and execute calculations for short-term incentive plans
  • Partner with HR and business leaders on compensation transactions, strategy, and communication
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal compensation laws and internal policies
  • Conduct and participate in compensation surveys, analyze results, and recommend changes
  • Support the development, implementation, and communication of compensation policies and programs
  • Create compensation-related reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Drive compensation surveys and support RFI/RFP processes
  • Assist with job architecture, leveling matrices, and organizational structure alignment
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field
  • 4+ years of compensation or related HR experience
  • Experience with compensation program development, salary surveys, and job evaluations
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data from multiple sources
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables; VBA a plus)
  • Strong skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion


Preferred:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Equity Professional (CEP)
  • Executive and equity compensation experience
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization
